In a large courtyard garden in Lansdown, Bath, the challenge was to create an intimate and cohesive design centred around three magnificent specimen olive trees. Our solution was to build a substantial raised sleeper bed, providing a defined stage to showcase these beautiful trees. We then introduced a rich tapestry of Mediterranean-style planting, using drought-tolerant perennials with varied textures and silvery foliage to soften the space. The finished design not only highlights the olive trees as the stars of the garden but also transforms the courtyard into a warm, atmospheric, and inviting sanctuary with a distinct feel of the Mediterranean.
