This small courtyard in the vibrant Montpelier area of Bristol was the perfect canvas for a dramatic, tropical-inspired transformation. The vision was to create a lush, jungle-like retreat that offers a complete escape from the urban surroundings. To achieve this, we introduced statement Trachycarpus fortunei palms to provide vertical structure and an instant exotic feel. The underplanting is a rich tapestry of bold, textural foliage, featuring the large, architectural leaves of Fatsia japonica, delicate tree ferns, and other vibrant species. This dense layering of greenery creates a truly immersive atmosphere, turning a simple courtyard into a secluded and striking tropical paradise.
